ENTERTAINMENT George Taweel Productions is founded in 1971 as a music and entertainment loan-out company for the freelance services of producer, director, writer, media and business consultant George Taweel. GTP is a production company for projects in film, television, home entertainment, corporate communications, live stage productions, educational programs and seminars.

BASIC CABLE TELEVISION In the summer of 1971, Taweel creates, produces and directs one of the first basic cable television kids educational series, “Our House” (26 hours).

Ted Turner's basic cable network WTBS Super Station launches.
 
PUBLIC TELEVISION
In 1972, George begins his seven year PBS career with NJPTV.

In August 1971, the first public television station in a 4 station PBS network in New Jersey (NJPTV) comes on line (Channel 52).
 
ELECTRONIC MUSIC In early 1973, Taweel buys his first Moog and begins writing theme and underscore music for various PBS/NJPTV television series and specials.

MUSIC VIDEOS As a college music major, professional radio DJ, and composer, Taweel pictures stories in his head when he hears music. Therefore, in 1976, he gathers TJ Tyndall (lead guitarist for The Chambers Brothers), the popular music group, Duke Williams and the Extremes, members of the Princeton Ballet and the Joffrey Dance Companies to visualize “The Theme to the Bermuda Triangle” which George produces and directs as one of America’s first music videos.

MTV premiers on the air in August 1981 bringing music video to the mainstream.
 
BRANDED CONTENT Taweel begins producing Branded Conent for major Fortune 100 Companies. George wins Emmy in 1986 for "Survival Guide with Robert Guillaume" for Pacific Bell on PBS."

NETWORK TELEVISION Taweel moves to Los Angeles and soon lands opportunities as an episodic director for “The Young and The Restless” (CBS) .

PAY CABLE Taweel produces the launch series “Mousercise” for the Disney Channel and numerous other television pilots, series and specials.

SYNDICATION Taweel is Coordinating Producer/Writer for "Star Search with Ed McMahan"

The "Golden Age" of Syndication: Star Search, Entertainment Tonight and Solid Gold etc.
 
BASIC CABLE/BRANDED George directs the sitcom pilot for “On The Line” and produces “Rocky Road” for Turner Broadcasting/The Arthur Company, one of the first sitcoms to air on a basic cable network. Produced in association with Proctor & Gamble Productions.

Turner Broadcasting/The Arthur Company airs the first sitcoms on a basic cable network. "Rocky Road" is one of them. George Taweel is the producer.
 
SYNDICATION/BRANDED Taweel produces the “Mother/Daughter Pageants with Bert Parks” for Proctor & Gamble /Gaines Productions which during Taweel's tenure became the #1 syndicated beauty pageant.

HOME ENTERTAINMENT McGee and Me!", the first live-action/ animation direct to video series of mini-movies® is initially produced by George Taweel Productions and eventually TLC Entertainment.

STEREOSCOPIC 3D Taweel is graciously mentored and trained by such stereoscopic giants as Lenny Lipton, Steve Schklair, Buzz Hays, 3ality Digital and others.

Avatar is the first big Stereoscopic 3D blockbuster.
 
  St. George Entertainment (SGE) is launched harnessing Taweel’s track record for early technology adoption and quality family storytelling and marrying it with the latest Stereoscopic 3D (S3D) technology. SGE creates and produces native S3D content for all markets and screens.
